It was awesome. We all met at the club and ran for 50 minutes with him out to Unitec along the bike path past Arthur's house and then watched in awe as he ran 4 x 300 on the track very quickly and without strain.
He was very approachable and a great ambassador for the sport. He talked to the kids, posed for selfies and was genuinely happy to be there. He said
"As a pro athlete, I'm often running on my own because everyone is at work so it's great to have people to run with!"
We wish Nick all the best for his racing in New Zealand and his goal of a 5th Olympics.
